About Us

The Bright Physio & Mindfulness Massage is a growing, client-centred clinic focused on high-quality wellness and rehabilitation services. We offer a calming, supportive environment and work collaboratively to help clients achieve better health and well-being. We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, client-focused therapeutic massage treatments.
  • Perform assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
  • Recommend home-care strategies to support client progress.
  • Uphold all ethical, professional and safety standards expected in Alberta.
  • Manage your own schedule and caseload as an independent contractor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Massage Therapy Requirements in Alberta

 

Applicants must meet the following standards typically required by recognized Alberta associations such as:
  • Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (MTAA)
  • Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC)
  • Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA)
  • Alberta Massage Therapist Association (AMTA)
Required:
  • Completion of a minimum 2,200-hour massage therapy diploma program from a recognized school.
  • Must be a member in good standing with at least one recognized Alberta massage therapy association.
  • Must carry current professional liability insurance that meets association requirements.
  • Must adhere to association standards, including:
  • Code of Ethics
  • Standards of Practice
  • Scope of Practice guidelines
  • Continuing education requirements
  • Client confidentiality & privacy obligations
  • Informed consent procedures
  • Professional communication and safe treatment practices
  • Ability to issue insurance receipts as required by Alberta insurers.

General Clinical Requirements

  • Strong therapeutic, assessment, and treatment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Professional and reliable with a strong client-care mindset.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (current).
  • Training in additional modalities is an asset (e.g., cupping, prenatal massage, hot stone, etc.).
